Based at Royal Holloway’s Faculty of Geography and Earth Sciences, the aim of the symposium is to explore historical and contemporary connections between Cornwall and London with papers exploring topics like migration and central-periphery relations. If you would be interested in giving a paper, or simply would like to attend, please contact me via this blog. Alternatively, email cornishstudies@exeter.ac.uk.

It is appropriate that the symposium is being held at the Egham based university since Thomas Holloway, the founder of the institution, had Cornish connections in Penzance. The event will not just be for academics – it will be of interest to anyone who has Cornwall dear to their hearts. If successful the aim is to hold similar events both in other locations both in the UK and abroad.
