New Play by Alan Kent – ‘National Minority’

Renowned Cornish writer Dr. Alan Kent’s new play ‘National Minority’, a subject which is exceptionally topical at the present time, will begin its tour of Cornwall on 29th September at the Hall for Gwinear. The play, which is directed by Jason Squibb and stars Ben Symes, Rebecca Hulbert and Wesley Griffith tells the tale of an incredible discovery by noted antiquarian and Celtic revivalist Edward Cardew in the library of a remote Cornish country house in 1901. Then, the action jumps ahead 115 years where a young scholar, researches in the same library in the steps of Cardew, whose work paved the way for devolution and National Minority Status. The tour continues until the 18th October and calls at the following venues:
